Upholstered in butterscotch leather over a matte chromed steel swivel base, the chair features a broad, flexible backrest, deep foam-filled seat and a memory-swivel mechanism for smooth return. Manufacturer labels are present on all chairs, dating to circa 2001. Founded in 1986 by Danish upholsterer Arne Norgaard Christiansen, Woodmark International transitioned from importing to manufacturing Danish-designed furniture in Australia by 31 December 1990. The company produced licensed designs for brands including Erik Jørgensen and Fritz Hansen, furnished major projects such as the Sydney Opera House, and collaborated with Australian designer Charles Wilson on the CW1 Swivel Chair (now in the Powerhouse Museum). In partnership with Jørgensen Australia, Woodmark produced the EJ70 “Partner” locally, combining Scandinavian design with Australian manufacturing. Overall very good vintage condition with minimal use across the set.
