ABOUT THE BRAND
Herman Miller — a century of human-centred design
Founded in 1905 in Zeeland, Michigan, Herman Miller has spent over a century designing furniture that improves the lives of those who use it. Long before ergonomics became an industry buzzword, Herman Miller was pioneering it — commissioning the landmark 1960 Propst 'Action Office' study and building the research infrastructure that would define modern workplace design.
Today, Herman Miller chairs are the benchmark against which all others are measured. Used in the world's leading architecture firms, technology companies, and design studios, they represent the intersection of scientific rigour and timeless aesthetics. When you sit in a Herman Miller, you're sitting on decades of human factors research.
ABOUT THE MODEL
The Caper — light, stackable, endlessly useful
The Herman Miller Caper, designed by Jeff Weber, was built to do the jobs a heavy task chair can't. Its flexible seat is perforated with a pattern of small flex points that gently contour to the sitter, giving genuine comfort in a chair light enough to lift with one hand and, in many versions, stack or wheel out of the way.
That versatility made the Caper a fixture in meeting rooms, training spaces and breakout areas the world over. Available as a four-leg, stacking or castored chair, it is the kind of unfussy, hard-working seat that quietly turns up wherever flexible space is needed — and keeps performing for years.
