Parts are manufactured in the USA at the main Herman Miller facility and custom assembled in Melbourne, Australia using pre-inspected good refurbished parts. Note: the gas lift and mesh are used and do have a life cycle. These can be replaced with new parts if needed for an added cost. Used parts are always inspected and selected on refurbished models, though for a cost these can be upgraded to brand new original USA-made Herman Miller parts, which will provide a guaranteed longer life on changed components. These chairs would be suitable if your budget is around 1K and you want a good working chair with a brand new foam system fitted internally inside the mesh seat and a metal core base serviced and re-aligned.

The Mirra — sustainability, engineered in from the start
Launched in 2003 and designed by Studio 7.5, the original Mirra was a landmark chair — the first Herman Miller designed from the ground up around environmental principles, and an early benchmark for what a responsible task chair could be. Its AireWeave suspension back and Harmonic tilt brought genuine high-performance ergonomics to the everyday desk.
Highly adjustable and famously durable, the Mirra earned a loyal following in offices worldwide and remains a superb value on the second-hand market.
