Designed by Yves Béhar in 2010, the Sayl took its cues from an unlikely source: the Golden Gate Bridge. Its signature unframed 'Y-Tower' back uses suspension principles borrowed from cable-stayed bridges, holding a single sheet of moulded polymer in tension so it flexes precisely where your spine needs support — no heavy frame, no wasted material.
That eco-minded engineering let Herman Miller bring genuine ergonomic performance to a far more accessible price point.
